The answer is in July or August of each year. Why? Simple. That is, if the new group of doctors in training, starting as a resident, their training programs. Other professions would call them "rookies". The doctors in training just completed medical school, and now begin their careers in their chosen medical field. Why is July and August is the worst time for a patient? As these new doctors do not have the necessary experience to know exactly what to do, andmore important is knowing what NOT to do. Yes, they rely on their older residents, and in some cases, the attending physicians. However, in the middle of the night when on call handling and several patients have problems that they are less likely to ask a physician or a doctor for help because they do not want to be seen as being inadequate and not in a position Dealing with patients' medical problems.

The interns, who are also the first-year residents are known, the ones to deal withwith much of the "scut work" that the senior residents do not want to do. Many of them are overwhelmed and mistakes happen more frequently in recent months by the trainees as at other times of the year. There is a significant learning curve that goes through each resident to gain enough experience to believe in its decision that ability. If you are a patient in a hospital during this time, make sure that a family member, your lawyer. Question and examine everything fromPills that you receive on the drug in the IV containers. Ask lots of questions and find out what alternatives are available. It is important to ask the "rookies" is discussed your care with the treating physician and whether he or she agrees with the plan.

Former patient suing doctor, hospital for malpractice

A former patient at Sacred Heart Medical Center filed a lawsuit against the hospital and one of its psychiatrists on Monday. In a complaint for damages, the woman says that, while acting as her health care provider, Dr. John Moulton acted inappropriately in pursuing a sexual relationship. KXLY4's Janet O reports.
